The Vampire Diaries

The Vampire Diaries is a fantasy-drama series based on the novels written by L. J. Smith. The series was premiered on September 10, 2009, and It was concluded on March 10, 2017, with 171 episodes over eight seasons. The main characters of the series were actors like Nina Dorev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Kat Graham, Candice King… Also this series has had five different directors, like: Rob Hardy, Leslie Libman and Brad Turner.

The plot is about a small town called Mystic Falls, Virginia, that is a place where happens a lot of supernatural history. Elena Gilbert (Nina Dorev) is a girl of seventeen years old who had recently lost her parents in an accident and she only have her brother and her little aunt; she start to go to the high school again and she met a strange boy Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley), that has already come to the town, and she fall in love but there is a thing that she doesn’t know… he is a Vampire.

In my opinion this series is very entertaining because is a adolescent story and always there's always something exciting going on. But also I thing that you have to be very attentive to the plot because If you don't see a episode, you can't understand the rest of the story.

When I started to watch this series I got bored for the first 3 episodes but then when I started to understand more things and it became more interesting; when I wanted to realise I had just started the second season and like this, until I finished.

I would recommend this series to everybody who like fantasy stories, and for people who like drama and romantic things because in this series If you are sensible you will cry a lot.
